On Thursday, October 3, the Johnson Lounge Series will host the inimitable and formidable DJ, historian, lecturer, ambassador, and leader, the legend himself, Duane Powell, at the Stony Island Arts Bank. After a DJ set, composer and pianist Sharon Udoh will engage with him in a conversation about his musical lineage and journey, his various cultural endeavors, and Chicago Black music legacy.
