This film follows Chicago artist Whitney Bradshaw she photographs women mid-scream in healing and cathartic group sessions where long-silenced stories conjure rage, sorrow, and joy. An activist and sexual abuse survivor, Whitney uses her art to fuel action for women’s rights, culminating in a grassroots fight for abortion access in Ohio. The film offers a visceral rallying cry for the revolutionary power of women’s voices.
Directed by Clare Major and produced by Jen Rainin and Rivkah Beth Medow, co-founders of Frankly Speaking Films the film premiered at the Frameline Film Festival in June 2024.
After the 30-minute film, director Clare Major and film subject Whitney Bradshaw will participate in a half-hour moderated discussion and Q&A.
