About Windy Indie

Windy Indie is a classically trained violinist from the West Side of Chicago whose versatility on the violin is rooted in her humble beginnings. Since picking up the violin as her principal instrument in 6th grade at K.I.P.P. Ascend Charter School, she has become passionate about music and encouraging others to believe in themselves. Now focusing on the fusion genre of Classical and Hip-Hop, Windy has been continuing her education in Chicago’s City College Music Education programs. With sounds reminiscent of Jazz musicians and Chicago’s Artistic flavor, she developed an aspiration to bridge the gap between music and education as a tool to empower all demographics into believing in themselves.Windy has performed on Fox TV’s hit show Empire, and in spaces such as Chicago’s Blues Festival, the House of Blues, and a plethora of private venues and shows. With dreams of opening a music school and ideals helmed in philanthropy, Windy Indie strives to connect with people on a universal scale in unity.
